The Father Crystal
Father...he holds us in his strong arms, promising that he will always keep us safe. He throws us up into the air so that we can have the experience of freedom, and then always catches us. He gently pushes us out beyond what we believe our boundaries to be and celebrates us in each step we take beyond them. He protects us from all life’s dangers with a grizzly’s ferocity.
Today we celebrate him.
Not all of us have a strong and healthy father figure in our lives. Someone who models for us, the best qualities of their paternal role. Someone who will make us feel safe, secure and watched over. Someone who we look up to and who by being his best self, inspires us to be our best self.

This part of the father energy is powerfully primal. There is no line a father will not cross to protect his family. When exploring this part of the Father Crystal, the song Monsters by James Blunt by kept playing in my thoughts—sometimes the crystals share a message this way. There is a part in the song where the father and son’s roles are reversed and the child tells the parent that it’s his turn to chase the monster’s away.

What I’m receiving from this is that the need to feel protected and also to be the protector is a universal one. It’s one lives in both the child and the parent.
