Divine Mother Quartz
This Quartz Crystal from Arkansas has a burst of crystals radiating from the tip of the mother crystal—the Divine Mother. She is a teacher. She is an inspiration. She is a mother. One of her children has a vibrant rainbow. She is here to offer the experience of unconditional mother love. To help you open your heart. To help you learn how to tune into the frequency of divine love from your own heart.
Some crystals and stones as a kind can have a feminine presence as well. Opal is one such stone being. It has a softness and lightness to it that is very feminine—even when you find them in the more typically masculine colours like blue or black or gold. It also has the emotional, watery connection that is also very typically of the female persuasion.
That is not to say that all opals are female. Just as each individual will have their own personality and gifts, so too will they express their gender—and it does not have to be either male or female—it can be both, or neither.
I invite you to enter a connection with the crystal with an open heart…find out about your crystal from your crystal. Take all the information that comes with a stone as a guide and not an absolute. Because all that is your crystal cannot be so easily distilled.
Go into the exploration playfully…have fun. A light heart will bring its own delights along with insights that otherwise would be missed.

I remember when I had just rediscovered the stone beings (after having forgotten my childhood connection with them), a crystal healer, whom I greatly admired, referred to a crystal as "her" and "she". I was curious about this and I asked her how do you know that the crystal is feminine. She told me that it was a feeling. She just had a sense of whether a crystal was male or female.
Crystals were new to me at the time and I thought this was just something that only gifted people could do. It didn’t occur to me that I would be able to know the crystals at such a deep level. I wanted to. But I didn’t think this was something I could learn to do. I just assumed that you either had it or you didn’t and I didn’t.
It turns out that I actually did “have it”. We all “have it”—that ability to notice subtle energies. We just forgot we knew how to do it. Or we do it without realizing or declaring it. No doubt, you’ve had the experience of knowing which one of your family members had entered the house or a room. Everyone has a certain unnamable presence about them that we pick up on with one of our “extra senses”.
Often times these moments of deep listening go unrecognized or are fluffed off as being a fluke. When we ignore our experiences, we lose trust in ourselves and that’s why we don’t believe that we have the gift to hear a crystal or sense its subtle characteristics.
Before I figured out how hear the song of the stones, I would randomly refer to crystals as he or she—without rhyme or reason. Of course, after I had developed a deeper inner trust, when I referred to a crystal as she, it was because I consciously felt a feminine presence from the crystals. In truth, I had been feeling it all along, I just needed a way for it to make sense to the mind—which is funny because randomly calling a crystal he/she actually makes less sense.
Most of the time I didn’t see the crystals as either masculine or feminine. I saw crystals as “they”—not because I was using gender neutral pronouns, but because I felt a collective presence. It didn’t matter if it was a single point or a cluster—I felt more than one presence there in the crystals. Sometimes the feminine or masculine is strong in a crystal, but often times I sense a “they-ness”.
So if you have been wanting to have a more personal connection with the crystals, but don’t yet trust your senses, you can bypass the doubts of the mind by making it a nonsensical playful exercise. Make it fun. Give yourself permission to not have to get it right. Though, as you learn to trust yourself, you’ll see how right you actually were.
I believe they sometimes express themselves in ways that humans perceive as masculine or feminine.
So in that sense, yes they do.

We know that our moon’s pull affects the tides. If we’re paying attention, we will notice the effects of these gravitational forces in our bodies as well—especially during the new and full phases when gravitational forces are at their peak. Since we are made of mostly water, it makes sense that we will feel the moon’s pull.
The sun also influences us. It’s gravitational pull on the tides may only be about half of that of the moon but it is still significant. So then why wouldn’t we feel the sun’s effects as well—especially during powerful phases in its cycle. It just so happens that we are nearing one of the sun’s most powerful phases—solar maximum.
Our Sun is in a perpetual state of flux, cycling from calm to chaotic every 11 (or so) years as its magnetic field become tangled and its poles reverse. We are nearing solar maximum, the height of activity, so there will be more solar storms, solar flares and eruptions of plasma.
Those of us who are most sensitive—the empaths especially—feel the shifts in the universe as easily as we feel the moods and intents of the people in our orbit. It’s not surprising that we would be noticing solar events in our bodies and our hearts.
The past month the sun has been quite turbulent, expelling some of the strongest solar flares in 7 years. I have noticed that the days I was experiencing migraines and intense emotions, as well as heightened intuition and creativity, aligned with powerful solar events. I heard from several people, sensitive and not, of similar experiences.
I asked the universe to show me how to bring my body back into harmony after being knocked off balance by the solar storms. These are the crystals who were singing in response.
Snowflake Obsidian
These volcanic glass stones peppered with flowery inclusions (hence the name snowflake obsidian) dampen the disharmonic frequencies that wreak havoc on our energy fields.
Lepidolite
Lepidolite Books are a fusion of paper thin layers of translucent sheets of mica. They act as a shield that blocks emfs but also, allows the beneficial frequencies to slip through.
Ocean Jasper
Often called Orbicular jasper, the remind the body how to create an energetic net to filter out disruptive frequencies. There is a certain group of ocean jasper stones that came specifically for this purpose.
Copal
This crystalized tree resin can slow down the intense energies that our bodies are being bombarded with during geomagnetic storms. Copal was the Year Stone of 2023 and it has a host of gifts for us...now this new one.
Other crystals answered the call and I’ll be sharing those in the Sunday Sparkle Newsletter.
Remember that while these specific crystals answered my call, it doesn’t mean that there are not others. Listen to the signs that universe sends you. Listen to your stones. And above all, listen to your self. You will be guided to the perfect crystal, who is singing just for you.
If you need a little help finding your stone, reach out.

In the dead of winter – right about now – there often arises dark feelings of despair – a stark flowerless landscape that offers no promises – no glimpses into what may be past the distant line of last sight.
It is a cold moment – even for one who sits under the sun. This is not just an experience of weather or a time of the year. It is a phase in the cycle of creative expression. It is actually the point of creation that all artists fear. The beginning. The blank page. The moment of choice. The point of endless possibility.
It should be a time of celebration yet it is a time when walking this dark corridor of uncertainty in that vast desert of possibility there is also insecurity, uncertainty and nowhere to hide – and all your dark shadow monsters emerge as here they may roam freely unobstructed by distraction of an occupied mind.
In the midst of this dark traverse across the barren flats, you’ve unknowingly invited fear to walk alongside you.
If you could even for just one breath, remember that you can invite in the light and reveal the true forms of the shadows that have you locked in terror, you will see that what you’ve been hiding and running from is actually the fear which you’ve let in.
Then, if you can step out of the terror for even just a second to look in the face of this stranger you travel with, you will see it’s just you there.
I waited for them to reveal themselves to me. It was not long. They are Rainbow Quartz (aka Anandalite) crystals, called so because their faces are painted with the colours of the rainbow. When you hold them in your hand and move them in the light, they gift you with flashes of colour. These crystals are “time corridor crystals”. They are travellers without boundaries. Sometimes you must travel back in time to be able to see what is before you in the present.
You can invite many allies on your trip across this canvas of your creation. The stone beings are always ready to guide you on your journey. They can show you secret spaces and unknown treasures. They can remind you of the light you hold within and how to shine it into the dark corridors you must pass through along your way.

But how do we slow down and still pack in all the many things that life demands of us? The answer lies in changing our relationship with time. The stone beings can help us do that.
Crystals vibrate at one of the highest rates in material form, yet they grow and move through space at one of the slowest. They have a perspective and relationship with time that is very different from the one we as humans have with the clock.
We chase it. We race against it. We want more of it. We’re afraid of it. Sometimes we want to speed time up and sometimes we want it to slow down. Sometimes it heals us and sometimes it robs from us.
A trio of spheres once shared some wisdom with me about being in harmony with time. They told me that you can play with time, the way you play with silly putty. Time is malleable—it can be stretched.
You can try to change the shape of time but it’s not needed. Instead talk to it. Learn the language of time. Make friends with it. And when you have a personal relationship with time, it will change its shape for you. You will no longer be rushing to catch up with time. It will wait for you.
Such an experience looks like this…
When you release the habitual struggle against it, time becomes a friend and ally to co-create with—not race against.
Play with it.
Notice the way time moves during different seasons or even different hours of the day. Change your routine and notice how what you do feels different, at different times of the day. Maybe if you wake up at 7:00 every morning, you try waking up at 5 or 8 and notice how different your experience is. Maybe if you eat lunch at 12:00, you try eating at 11:00 or 1:00. Maybe you shift your bedtime by an hour or 2 and notice the effect on your body.
Until you learn how to tame time, crystals can act as the bridge between the two of you. They can travel through time with you and help ease the resistance and struggle you have with it.
That is what it is to keep crystal time.
Any crystal can help you to get out of the mad rush. They are the embodiment of patience, growing sometimes for millions of years. Following are a few known time travellers to begin with…
Copal is adept at the art of slowing down. Before it crystallized it moved like molasses.
Fossils are another great one to call in--especially snail or turtle fossils.
Lithium Quartz can help calm the nervous system when you are having a challenging time slowing down.
Fluorite shows us how to get better organized in time and teaches us how to be in a state of flow…it shows us how to flow-right.
Tangerine Time Totems carry time links which are bridges that the soul can travel upon in order to consciously connect with aspects of the self existing in other times and places. Past and future identities can be witnessed and ancient heartaches can by healed.
Time Benders came forward to guide those who are playing with time. They can show you how to call back all the disparate parts of yourself and align in real time.
Some crystals come forward to journey with you on a very deep and personal level—soul journey stones. They are very specific stone beings with a very specific purpose.
Like this one...
Sylyph has a water sprite swimming in her crystalline depths. She wanders through time with as much ease of movement as if she was swimming through the waters of her native environment.
Any crystal can take you deeper into an experience with time. Trust your intuition when choosing your time traveling companion. Go for the one which is singing most intensely for you—the one you are most drawn to.

Chrysoprase showed up for us in 2 different ways with 2 different messages...to soothe, inspire and remind us to open our hearts.
Heartlight
Two Chrysoprase tumbles (one lemon, one green), came together co-create a Star Song. (Star Songs are crystal elixirs that are transmitted by distance). The lemon was in the shape of a heart and the green had a heart shape naturally carved onto its surface. Of course they had a message for the heart.
When the sadness comes and it’s so deep that it’s almost unbearable and you want to run as far away from it as possible, go deeper.
GO DEEPER into your sadness
Go further into your pain.
Stay in the sorrow.
Stay until you break and then step upon the shattered pieces to release the light that is embedded within them.
This is probably the last thing you will want to do when you’re feeling heartbroken. But it is the only thing that will truly release your sadness. You can certainly escape the trauma temporarily and it will feel better – temporarily. But it will come back and each time it will be more agonizing.
But if you can do what your pain is calling on you to do – if you can reach into your strength and find the courage to step into the pain, you will find a great gift awaiting you. The only way to this gift though is through the darkness. That’s where you’ll find the light.
You don’t have to do it alone. The Stone Beings are gentle loving companions as you enter the heaviness of your heart. They have a natural ability to calm you even at your most anxious, simply by holding them.
They can help you to open your heart so you can move into the space where you are broken. They can help you to stay sane as you explore the madness beneath the painful feelings.
You can grid them in a circle around you, creating a loving cocoon within which to take your journey inwards. Most of all they will hold you in an energy of pure love. Those loving vibrations will be a warm blanket upon you as you go deep into your sadness.
This journey into releasing your sadness doesn’t have to be a solitary one. No other person can accompany you, but the crystals can be loving companions to you on this and any other inner spiritual journey. They certainly will lend their physical presence, but they offer much more. They are there with you in spirit. They are with you in the deepest, most intimate way possible. That is what these loving crystal companions offer. It is a great gift.
You can request these specific Heartlight crystals if you would like to receive a Star Song.
The other Chrysoprase stone is very different. It is raw with a bright green jelly centre with a white crackled crust. The words Is it you, naturally carved onto the surface. He is Izy and he shared a message...
Dearest Beautiful Being,
Magical, mystical things happen to you sometimes and you want to believe the Divine guidance and orchestration of these events but part of you doubts. The part of you that remembers the painful experiences; the part of you who sees the violence and suffering in the world; the part of you that has nightmares; and the part of you that feels fear and loneliness. That part remains in doubt. We are here to quiet those fears and doubts. We are here to remind you of the light. We are here with a Divine message.
Next time you experience the magic sparkling into your reality and you ask …
IS IT YOU?
Is it the Divine Presence [insert your word for it] showing up in this earthly reality?
The answer is …
YES!
I see you. I know you. I love you.
Izy shows us how to open our hearts to the magic of this world. It is so easy to slip back into doubt--no matter how many miracles that we experience. I was just speaking of this very thing with someone yesterday. We see the magic happen with our very own eyes, and still we doubt. And so we have to have constant reminders
Chrysoprase comes to remind us to open our hearts. Yes they are tender and hesitant to be so vulnerable during this powerful time in our history. But it is especially now that we need to have our hearts wide open. It is, in fact, in that open state that our hearts are most protected.
Of course it is kismet that the lightning crystals (our year stone), have shown up at this time with their own heart songs but also to show us how to open our hearts.

We have our ideas and opinions as to what beauty looks like. Bustamite is what beauty feels like.
Bustamite is not a flashy stone. It does not need to be center stage and can offer its loving support to to those of us who feel lost in the shadows, afraid to light our way from within. But we do have that light within and Bustamite makes sure that we feel it.
That inner STAR may not be in center stage. She may not need to be. That doesn't mean she isn't as powerful a light as those who shine outwardly. Bustamite comes to affirm that ... to celebrate us wherever we stand on the stage of life. Bustamite reminds us that ALL roles are leading roles and ALL OF US ARE STARS.
Bustamite is divinely feminine.
She is the maiden energy…the energy, the passion, the desire, the excitement of new discovery.
She is the mother energy…the unconditional love, the tireless nurturing, the strength and power that makes you feel safe and to know that after all that comes, it will be ok.
She is the grandmother energy…the warmth, the feeling of home, the one who cheers us on with a loyalty that will not falter, the wise one who always has the answers.
She is all that and all the rest of what the feminine is.
This is only one fragment of the energy Bustamite holds. Much has been written about it in crystal books. But if you really want to know her, ask her to show you her magic and she will. Remember that each one has their own unique personality.
As an example, this is Ehro (pictured above). As well as emanating all the qualities of Bustumite, he radiates his shimmery light in pointed focus towards the heart, much like Cupid’s Arrows. He comes into your life to help you to find your soul mate. He would also make a great partner for a matchmaker.
You can see this with your own crystals. Hold a couple of the same type of stone in your hand and notice their unique personality. If you have not looked at the crystals in this way before, it might take a minute to tune into their individuality.

There are many ways to connect with crystals and really there is no right or wrong approach. Simply being with a crystal can have a balancing and harmonious effect on us. However, there are ways through which we can tap into the most magic and power of the stone beings. Ways that open up the possibility for greater and more profound transformation.
I’m going to be sharing different ways that we can expand our capacity to receive crystal energy throughout the year, but today let’s begin with the most important one.
The heart is the gateway to our energy bodies. Closing our hearts off will block us from crystal energy, but that’s not all. Barricading the heart is akin to putting up a big sign that says NO to anything that comes our way. We may be able to protect ourselves from pain and heartache, but we will also cut ourselves off from the magic of the world, including the energetic gifts of the stone beings.
Mind
Being too much in our heads can quickly cut us off from our hearts. Connecting to crystals by “the book”, may be practical but it has limitations. When we choose them based on what we think we need or what we’re told we need, rather than choosing the ones we’re most drawn to and we most love, then we may receive what we asked for, but nothing more. When we use them according to instruction, we will miss the subtle guidance that would lead us towards deep, transformational shifts.
Judgement
When we have preconceived notions of what a crystal is and does, we close ourselves off to their potential. We may never discover the gifts that they have beyond what is known. It’s not because the information we have about the crystal is wrong. But when we’ve made up our minds that rose quartz will help us open our hearts, we might not know that the blue Celestite we have that we can’t stop picking up and holding to our chest is actually the perfect one to help our heart expand.
Doubt
Doubting ourselves quickly takes us out of our hearts. We can still benefit from crystal energy, but we will miss out on the big magic—the kind that comes through in the silent messages of our intuitive self—the kind that we can only access when we are in full trust.
Fear
The realm of energy is a mysterious one and the unknown is scary. When we’re afraid of a crystal our defences come up and we block ourselves from their gifts. This is just as true for people who are new to crystal healing as it is for those who have been working with crystals for many years.
We may have reacted with a headache or dizziness to hematite and now we are more careful about our interactions with all crystals. It’s true that some crystals contain elements that can be toxic, like lead or cadmium, and precautions may need to be taken. If there is fear present, it’s best to avoid working with those crystals. The stone beings are such perfect reflectors that our fears can get amplified.
Sometimes the crystals which scare us can end up being our greatest teachers and healers. When the epic green quartz crystals first arrived here, I had such a strong reaction to them that I told my supplier I was sending them back. Knowing they were going I was able to relax and my heart opened up enough to feel their beauty. I not only kept them but asked my supplier to send me every single last one that he had.
Opening and empowering the heart is part of the magic and medicine of the 2024 year stone for Song of Stones—lightning quartz crystals. It is a topic that we will be delving deeper into here and in our weekly Sunday Sparkles.
To hear more about all the ways to receive energy from the crystals (as well as exclusive offers), sign up to our crystal community.
These Crystals can come forward to guide you with a specific creation, like finding a home or life partner, starting a new business or career, or help you heal your body, heart or mind. But you can also invite them in, like you would a friend, to walk with you on a particular journey…like this next magical, powerful year...as your year stone for 2024.
Journey Crystals do not just have to be personal guide stones. They can come forward for families, for communities, for homes, for projects, or for businesses. Every year a crystal sings for Song of Stones. They are not just there to shift the energy of the business, but they come through for its community...for you. You are invited to tap into the energy of Song of Stones' Year Stone to bring some magical energy into your life.
The Year Stone singing for 2024, is Lightning Quartz.
I’ve drawn on the writings of Melody, Katrina Raphaell for the following information on lightning crystals. I will be sharing more about my own experience with them as well as messages from the crystals (stone songs) in future posts.
A lightning quartz crystal is as rare to find as a Manifestation crystal. Lightning Quartz is a "Grand Formation", which can be used in surviving Earth changes and has been used to assist in recovering from shock and trauma.
Lightning Quartz can support swiftness in breaking the shackles of fear and dominion. It is said to bring the energy of love like a bolt of lightning.
Acting on the concept of inertia, Lightning Quartz brings the energy of dispersion to the "still". It can both focus and transfer the light energy in required directions. It is an excellent stone to assist us in modifying our path, providing an energy to cut through barriers and to clear the way for our progression.
Lightning Quartz is a stone of transformation and as such can be used to help those who are experiencing difficulty in the transition from the physical world to the spiritual world. Lightning Quartz has been used in projecting thoughts of the self to another location - in a way that the form can be seen or felt by others at that location.
Lightning struck crystals are said to hold information from Lemuria and the knowledge of healing techniques from other planetary worlds. This crystal has exhibited speed during the facilitation of healing and in the advancement of contact with the extra-terrestrials.
If you haven’t done so already, I invite you to call in your personal Journey Stone for the year 2024. You can choose one or let one choose you. Be open to the one who comes forward. The greatest magic will often come from the most unlikely stone.
As you might imagine, I have several year stones for 2024. You may have more than one as well, depending on what you are creating this year. I'm working on several projects this year so I have Journey Stones for each major creation. If you need a little help finding your 2024 crystal guide, feel free to get in touch. It’s what I do.
Send you new year blessings of...

On a personal level I look back at my year for several reasons. Most importantly, I do it for when that old familiar critical thought rises up…_another year has past and what have I done_. Do you know that one? It’s the self-effacing thought goes through the mind at the end of every year that has us feeling like we’ve failed. Then, full of doubt and motivated to make this year count, we make unreasonable, grandiose plans that set us up to fail. We may even start out strong and accomplish a lot, and at superhero speeds, but we can’t keep up the pace. We burn out and drop everything—until the end of that year where we begin the cycle all over again.
If we took a moment to look back over the past 12 months with kind eyes, we would remember how much we actually accomplished. We would see what worked and what didn’t work; what we liked and didn’t like; what we want and what we don’t want in our lives. We would learn a little bit more about who we are and, truth be told, that is reason we are here in this body—to know ourselves. With that awareness we could begin the new year with more clarity and purpose.
When it first came forward, Copal shared a message with us that offers another reason to check in with ourselves to make sure we haven’t lost our direction:
“With everything outside the self, it is easy to loose touch with the truth of who you are. And while it is beneficial to explore the many possibilities of what life can be, it is important to check in with yourself to make sure you haven’t become lost to your truth.”
The first thing Copal showed us was its capacity for healing trauma. It can do this on a personal level, but it really came here to help us to move through and out of our collective trauma. We are beginning to forget about the global pandemic now, but humanity went through something unlike anything else in our history. All of humanity. It definitely brought out the best and the worst in us—mostly the best. And for a brief moment in time, it unified us.
Afterwards, we shared something else. Collective trauma. It manifested in different ways for each of us, but we were all affected. Copal revealed this particular gift they have of healing the collective in its very name. Cope-all.
Copal heals in other ways, just as it healed the trees it flowed through before it became solid. In its liquid form as sap it was the life blood of trees, the sweet nourishment it needs for life. It also acted as a natural bandaid for the trees, healing any open wounds. We can connect to its golden healing essence when we have open wounds of the heart, the mind or the spirit.
The stickiness of Copal’s personality helps us to see another of its gifts—that of becoming unstuck. Many a being has fallen into sap’s sticky trap and Copal can show us how to avoid getting stuck in our own lives and how to get free when we do find ourselves trapped. It preserves this knowledge much as it preserves the creatures whose forms are encased within its translucent golden tomb. When we want to preserve a piece of sage wisdom, or hold onto the memory of something important, we can invite in Copal to help us seal it in time.
Copal tells us something else—something important—through its sticky nature and its metamorphosis from liquid sap state to a hardened solid. It was revealed in the second part of its message to us:
“The human being can easily take the shape of what is around it. It is easier to allow oneself to become moulded to the current surroundings rather than purposefully taking your true form. That is why it is so important to choose with thoughtfulness, where you place roots and who you spend your time with.”
I recorded a YouTube vide of my memories of Copal that you can hear by clicking on the play button below.
Copal has become one of my dearest stone friends and will always hold a very special place in my heart. I hope that this exploration will help you to remember the sweetness of this stone being and if you’re just finding out about Copal now, that you will invite it in to play with.
I will be sharing the 2024 year stone in our next light log post.

It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.
Eleanor Roosevelt
When darkness comes into our lives, our natural reaction is to fear it––to worry about it – to “curse” it. We don’t always remember that there is another choice. We live in a time where the ancient mystical secrets are becoming available to anyone that seeks them out. Many of us are coming into awareness of the law of attraction and truly understanding what it means. We are beginning to see from experience that what we focus on in our lives EXPANDS. When we focus on the things that bring us joy and peace, our lives are filled with more joy and peace. When we focus on things that frighten us and stress us out, our lives are filled with more fear and stress.
So why not put our focus on things that will make us happy rather than on what we fear?
I’m not just asking this question rhetorically. Give it some thought and really answer the question. Besides what good will our worry do anyone? If worrying would help make things better, our world would be paradise. I know what you’re thinking … if you could stop worrying you would. But let’s say that you can stop worrying – would you want to? Would you choose to let go of worry if you could? That’s really the question. Let go of the thought that you can’t help worrying and see what your answer is. It may surprise you to find that you might not be as willing to give up worrying as you might first imagine. Because giving up worry means giving up control – even if that control is just an illusion.
It’s hard to avoid the stresses of our chaotic world. Things are happening that we can’t deny are frightening and horrific. But be aware that there are also things that are happening that are wondrous and truly miraculous––all the time.

FIRST … love.
Love is a force that can’t be reckoned with.
Love conquers all.
All you need is love.
There’s a reason there are so many cliches around LOVE. So when you come upon news of tragedy and loss, you have it within your power to do something very powerful…hold/send/feel/be LOVE. Even if you only allow yourself ONE SECOND to clear your heart and your body and hold a loving thought––THAT can do more for the world than any amount of worry or fear or stress. That is how powerful love is.
Try it right now and see how the energy shifts. Take ONE SECOND only and focus on love––just put your focus on something or someone you love and let that fill your body and see how things change. You can do that. You have that power. I’m not saying it is always easy. I KNOW it is not always easy. But it is always a choice. Worry and fear mask the possibility that you can choose something else. But remember that you do have a choice.
NOTE: I used the word LOVE but you can replace that word with G-d, the Universe, Spirit or anything that you call that which fills you with the indescribable energy that all those cliches are about.
SECOND – and this might sound selfish, so I ask you to hold judgement until you hear me out – put your focus on making your life the best that it can be. Every Soul in this world was created with purpose. That is to be all of who you are, whoever that might be. When you let yourself be who you truly are, you fill this world with that same energy we just spoke of … LOVE (or whatever word you call it). However, instead of spurts and bursts of love that take focus and energy to bring out, when you live authentically well, you will naturally emanate that sacred powerful energy at all times––with your mere presence.
That’s what crystals do. They emanate this sacred power we are speaking of so effortlessly. Crystals do naturally what we humans work so hard to attain. That’s one of the reasons we are so attracted to them. They can be loving guides in a quest to emulate their power of presence. They can show us how to connect to the love energy, be it for short periods of time or with the intention of shifting into this state––our true state of being––permanently.
In the meantime, our stone friends can help us to ease and release our stresses and anxiety. Simply being in their presence can do that. Imagine the feeling of being out in nature – a walk in the forest, bare feet in the sand, the sound of the water, the majesty of the mountains. You can feel the same way when you’re around the stone beings. Their energy is that of a true and deep friendship that provides comfort in times of emotional turbulence/upset.
There are certain crystals that come forward at this time to help us with stress and anxiety. Especially helpful are crystals that contain Lithium, ie. Lepidolite, Kunzite, Amblygonite and of course Lithium in Quartz. However, it’s best not to limit yourself to such generalities. Any crystal or stone can potentially evoke feelings of peacefulness. You can begin with the metaphysical guidebooks but ultimately you are your best guide. The right stone being will reveal itself to you if you trust. Until then, if you would like, we can listen for the one that is singing for you.

I'd been looking for natural candles for some time. I tried the soy and other vegetable wax candles but they just did not have the energy I was seeking when I lit a candle--so I just didn't use them. When I needed a soft light for meditation or ambience, I would burn olive oil, which is very nice ... but there are times that I just simply wanted to light a candle. Then I found these wonderful beeswax candles. They had that very thing that I'd been looking for, but didn't realize I was looking for. They have a lovely natural honey scent and beautiful texture and appearance. But what I'd been looking for was more subtle...it was the energy of golden light.
I can give you lots of practical reasons for burning beeswax candles...
Beeswax is a natural byproduct of honey production by bees, making it a sustainable and renewable resource. This means that they are eco-friendly and support the well-being of our planet.
Beeswax candles burn cleanly and emit no harmful toxins or pollutants. They are free from the chemicals and artificial fragrance oils often found in other candles, making them safe for you and the environment.
Supporting the use of bee products promotes sustainable beekeeping practices and the well-being of these vital pollinators. Choosing beeswax candles contributes to the conservation of honeybee populations.
The subtle, natural scent of honey is released when natural beeswax candles burn, adding a delightful and soothing aroma to your space. This gentle fragrance creates a warm and inviting atmosphere without the need for artificial fragrances. The soft, warm glow of beeswax candles and their calming aroma creates an ambiance that promotes relaxation, meditation, and stress relief.
When natural golden beeswax burns it gives off a soft golden glow. The light spectrum emitted from a beeswax candle is the closest of all waxes to natural sunshine.
Beeswax candles don't drip when properly used, and have long burn times, making them economical as well. They burn cleaner, brighter, hotter and longer than other candles. Other candles require chemical additives to increase burn time.
Many people are allergic to the toxic waxes and artificial fragrances common in todays candles. Beeswax is non-allergenic and is a natural air cleaner, recommended by the American Lung Association. It's the best choice for asthma and allergy sufferers. Be sure that the candles you buy are 100% beeswax - some countries allow as little as 10% beeswax in candles labeled as "beeswax".
When used correctly, these candles are designed to burn with minimal dripping and virtually no smoke. This ensures a hassle-free and clean burning experience with no wax mess or unpleasant odors.
These are all great reasons but they are reasons of the mind. I began lighting these candles for my soul. The Soul knows what it wants and my soul wanted this energy of golden light. I've seen beeswax candles before, but I've never been more drawn to the candles as I was now.
It might also be because they are handmade by a family run company and there's nothing more nourishing and enjoyable than something made from the heart. It is like the difference between the taste and nourishment of homemade meal versus one that's made in a restaurant even if they are cooked with the same ingredients.
Things that are natural and handcrafted with love have a special energy that you might not be able to put your hands on, but you can feel. I could feel that love and light in these candles.
For meditation or ceremony, when you are wanting to create a pure and the high vibrational space, beeswax candles are ideal. Their gift of golden light lifts and uplifts while at the same time cleansing and purifying. Sage, Resin and Palo Santo are often used to cleanse a space or a person. Lighting a beeswax candle does the same thing--without the smoke (some people are sensitive to smoke). This happens naturally, leaving the candle in place, but you can amplify the cleansing energy through intention and blessings.
Note: Do not use a candle the way you would use a smudge stick. You don't want to have a live flame near a person's body, hair, clothing. Keep the candle away from anything flammable and away from drafts.
I've been burning beeswax candles for other reasons lately too--to physically cleanse the air. As a sensitive soul, I react to chemical and energetic toxins in the air. Often without realizing, we bring home unseen chemicals when we do our shopping, when we visit others and even when we go for a walk outside, breathing in exhaust fumes and collecting them on our clothes. When the air feels heavy I light a candle and I always feel a shift in the air and in the energy. I breathe easier.
I also light candles more often during flu season and whenever one of us has been sniffling. I have found that it helps me feel better faster and I believe that it helps with the spread. I have not found any scientific studies or evidence of this or of whether they emit negative ions.
There is lots of information out there that claims Beeswax Candles emit negative ions which are said to clean the air by neutralizing pollutants and toxins. I have not seen any specific scientific studies about this but I did find an interesting article in Alive Magazine written by an entomologist. Here's an excerpt from the article:
"Burning beeswax produces negative ions that circulate in the room and attract pollutants, in much the same way that a magnet attracts iron filings. Dust, odours, moulds, bacteria, viruses and other toxins are captured and neutralized. Beeswax actually cleans your air!
You can burn beeswax candles in an unventilated room without fear of pollution. In fact, many people report that burning a candle in the bedroom for 30 minutes or so before falling asleep produces a more restful sleep.
Paraffin, on the other hand, is a petroleum waste product, made from the sludge left over from the gasoline and petrochemical refining process. Paraffin produces no negative ions and so adds to the pollutants in your home. People with respiratory problems should not use paraffin candles, nor should people who do not want to develop such problems."
Here's the full Article, Bountiful Beeswax by Bill Reno
All usual precautions that pertain to fire also pertain to burning candles: never leave a candle burning when no one is in the room; do not burn candles near drapes or other combustible materials
Keep the wick of your candles trimmed to 1/4"-1/2"
Allow the melted pool of pillars to reach the edge of the candle each time you burn it, about an hour per inch of diameter. This way you won't have to try to fold unmelted wax down from the sides and the pillar won't burn down the middle. You'll be starting off with the equivalent of a new (but shorter) candle each time.
If your candle will be lit for only a short time, use a taper, votive or tealight.
Drafts cause flickering of the flame, which can result in uneven burning or dripping.
Put out pillar flames by dipping the wick into the melted pool and then straightening (a paper clip is a handy tool).
Use a snuffer for tapers.
If you don't like the natural bloom that develops on beeswax, simply rub your candles with your hand--the warmth will polish off the bloom.
Put a tiny bit of water in the bottom of your glass tealight cups - makes removing the last vestiges of wax easy.
The beeswax votives and tea lights that I have are designed to fully liquefy as they burn. That means they need to be lit in a cup.

This was not hopeful, thinking. This was the Earth talking to me, showing me how it could be could be. It took until now for me to be able to fully understand and convey this vision.
The Earth is calling to us. Calling on us. We are being asked to step up—to step in to the fullest potential for our planet.
This is not the Earth asking for help. It is the Earth showing us how we can help ourselves. The earth has always been fine and she will always be fine. There have been many who have called her home and I imagine there will be many more.
So far every human civilization on this earth has failed. And we will too—if we continue the way we have been. Hoarding resources. Fighting for absolute power. Wars, enslavement, conditioning the masses through fear and lies. None of this has ever worked. If we don’t destroy our habitat, we will destroy each other.
What will work is unity. Not just with each other but with all species. Not as conquerors. Not even as stewards. But as partners.
We can reimagine a new earth. We can reimagine a new version of humanity. It doesn’t even have to be that hard. We can do what the caterpillar does before she transforms. Imagine a different possibility.
As I shared in a recent post,
“There is nothing in the slow moving, land bound caterpillar that would offer any clue that it would be encasing itself in a silken tomb, melting into a puddle of goo and reemerging as a graceful, winged, beauty.
While the caterpillar is in her chrysalis, dormant “imaginal cells” (their actual scientific name) which hold the design for her destiny begin to awaken. At first the caterpillar resists and fights against the imaginal cells. So they begin to cluster together, becoming stronger with each new bond. The body of the caterpillar dissolves and she becomes the butterfly.”
We can do this too. We can cluster together and imagine a different reality. The energy of the time will support and boost the power of that vision, now more than ever before.
The energy of the last couple of years has been about community and creative collaboration. This year the frequency of unity has accelerated and expanded. We are being invited into a collaboration with the earth herself. The earth and all her living inhabitants.
I have begun to reimagine our earth as she could be. I imagine the human collective as we could be. I invite you to join me in this practice of imaginality. Once a month. A live gathering of creative hearts imagining a crystal earth—recreating paradise.
Sign up to the Song of Stones community to receive the monthly invitations and links to join the Crystal Earth live visualizations.

It’s not the power of wealth but of true abundance.
Wealth they say is but an illusion.
It’s not power over another but power over yourself.
True and authentic power is not external.
Authority – true authority – is trust in yourself.
It’s leadership over one. That one being YOU.
It’s not the power to “conquer” your fears.
It’s a greater power – an eternal power.
It’s that of accepting your fears
and loving yourself anyway.
You can’t really win a war against yourself – that’s not true “will power”. It’s an illusion of ego. Your fears are a source of great power. When you suppress your fears you suppress that power with them.
The key to coming into courage is through your fears, not around, or over, or under them. Your fears are guides to this path towards courage.
The lion in the story of Oz is a perfect illustration of the power of this golden energy. He was courageous despite his fears – even perhaps because of them. Lion is symbolic of courage and power. It is no co-incidence that he is physically coloured by the golden energy. The lion of Oz shook from fear and still stepped onto the “yellow” path to discovering his courage.
The yellow tone is akin to the golden energy. They are different intensities of this same vibration of power. They both offer to support you in stepping onto the path towards true authentic power. Accept that support. These colourful energies can be “inVALUABLE” guides on that journey of self discovery.
Of course it matters not how you connect with the golden rays. My favorite way to explore colour is through the crystalline beings. They vibrate unconditional love and acceptance and that is key when stepping on the path to power. The stones offer one of the gentlest ways to integrate the golden energies into your life.
There are other ways you can bring the yellow tones in … through food or clothes or through visualization. Trust your “authority”. Choose freely from a place of true power rather than allowing ego to impose its will (or rather suppress yours). Follow your heart to the yellow path rather than relying on the mind’s logic.

A message came recently from a very sweet messenger … a beautiful snail. His message is this …
It sounds simple .. yes. It is simple … yes. But then why is it so difficult to do. Why is it such a hard thing to just slow down and be right where I am.
When we are distracted by the cell phones and the computerized gadgets which allow us to walk, text and surf the internet all at the same time; when we are rushing from one place to another, not in any of them long enough to catch up to our own bodies; when we’re thinking of where we just came from and stressing about where we need to go next, not fully present where we are at the moment – part of us left behind in the last place we visited and part of us already ahead of ourselves in our future … we can’t feel whole. How can we feel whole when we are so fragmented.
I think we are trying to do all these things, ultimately for the very purpose of feeling whole, to accomplish our purpose in this lifetime – to get ahead of ourselves so that we’ll make it in time – so that we’ll finish. But what ends up happening is that we are so busy trying to get there that we miss out on the experience … which IS the purpose.
If we want to take it slowly, as our wise friend suggests. If we want to catch up with ourselves and finally and truly rest, we can look to those of the natural world to show us how. The snail is a wonderful guide when we want to become still and allow ourselves to be where we are – take in our surroundings. She carries her home with her. She has all she needs. She has no need to rush. To see the world from her perspective, we need only match her pace.
The stone beings are also wonderful guides to slowing down. They are the masters. Look at the path of their formation. They can take millions of years to take shape. That requires a type of patience we as human beings do not understand. Yet they can teach us. They can allow us, if only for a few moments at a time, to experience stillness – they can show us how to move at such a pace as to truly see where we are and all that surrounds us. They can, if we wish, show us to see even deeper into the space we occupy. They can show us how to look into our hearts and through to our soul space. They can help us to see that there is no need to rush. They can show us that when we are so busy running from where we are, we move only further from our true destination. They can show us our world in a whole new way.
Let snail help you to slow your pace to one where you can see that home is where you are already. Let her help you see that a race against time is not one to win. Let the stone beings help you to take this relaxed stride and draw it out even further. Let them show you how much there is to see here at this placid pace.
Any crystal can help you to get out of the mad rush. They are the embodiment of patience, growing sometimes for millions of years. But if you're looking for one who is especially focussed on the art of slowing down, try Copal. Before it crystallized it moved at a pace similar to our snail friend. Fossils are another great one to call in--especially snail or turtle fossils.

]]>We seem to be more easily pulled towards the darkness as fear is powerfully alluring. We see this recurrently playing out in all segments of our societies from business to politics to our social interactions. We see it even within our spiritual institutions. It’s much easier for us to see the bad qualities in a person than to see the good in them. The same holds true for ourselves. We are quick to judge ourselves harshly and slow to encourage and nurture our inner light. We slow down and stare at accidents on the road but rarely will we take the same time and intensity of attention to notice a kind act or beautiful sight.
That’s not because darkness is our nature. It’s not. Spend even a short time with a baby and you will see that there is nothing dark in their nature. They are pure and innocent. They have not yet had any influence. They have not seen anything yet but pure love. That genuine love is what we see reflected to us when we look at a newborn. It is that pure vibration that we are drawn to.
No. Darkness is not our nature. Darkness is learned. The darkness draws us because it vibrates harmonically with our fears. It grows in direct relation to our level of fear. With so much frightening information coming at us from all directions and in so many different formats and mediums, is it any wonder that we are scared so much of the time. Even if we are aware of our fearfulness, we may not realize that all that fear draws to us an equivalent amount of darkness.
So how do we call back in the light and anchor it to keep it from vanishing just as quickly as it settles in. One way––my favorite––is with Crystals. They are themselves, solidified light. Simply holding one can call in and keep close the light. But which crystal can help us to anchor our light? Certain crystals are regarded as more grounding than others and can help us stay anchored as we call in more light. Those would be the darker, heavier stones like Smoky Quartz, Shungite, Magnetite, Pyrite, Jasper to name a few. Some say certain crystals are higher in vibration and bring more light like Quartz, Light Bud Stones, Selenite, the Lemurians for instance.
Truthfully though, light work does not quite follow such logic. Our harmonic fields and energy systems (ie. chakra, chi) are not static entities. They fluctuate and shift in each moment. There may be times where a dark/heavy stone will be the perfect thing to ground us, but it may sometimes be just the thing to raise our vibration. A sparkling bright crystal on the other hand may lift us into the light but it is just as possible to find that crystal grounds us instead. I have discovered that the effects a stone has on us actually depends more on how we happen to be vibrating in the moment than on what properties are assigned that particular type of crystal.
I say this time and again and I’ll likely say it many times more … the stone being that will be best for you will be the one that you are most attracted to at the time. The crystal you most need in any particular moment, will reveal itself to you. If you are open, you will be shown the right crystal to connect with at the time.
The stone spirits are brilliant communicators and the Universe will always lead you to what is most needed in any particular moment. The key is trusting yourself. So if you want to anchor your light in harmony with a stone being, look to the one that is singing to you – the one that is shining most brightly – the one that the Universe is leading you to. You’ll know when you find the right one. Trust yourself.

As we enter into the holiday season, there are temptations that we don’t usually need to contend with outside of big celebrations. Smorgasbords, and charcuterie boards, puddings and pies, sweet chocolates, and canes of candy. Then there are the wines and other spirits, warming our winter colds and taking the edge off the extra stresses. It’s easy at these times, to ignore the body’s signals to stop eating and drinking when it has had enough.
These are not the only temptations. It is also hard to resist the sales and the exclusive bundles wrapped in pretty packages. I love the packages. I have bought so many things I don’t need just for the box that they come in.
I remember the first time I heard about Apatite crystals for helping to control the appetite. I thought it seemed a little too on the nose, but then the names and shapes of things can often give us a clue about what they are. The proof came in the proverbial pudding. I noticed a I wasn’t as hungry and less apt to unconscious snacking when I started keeping apatite nearby.
Apatite comes in several colours. I would instinctively reach for the Blue Apatite when I needed to strengthen my voice when I say yes to something I don’t really want because I’m afraid of hurting someone’s feelings. The Green Apatite (which is more of a gold tone), I would pick up when I’m having an inner struggle and I want to strengthen my will power.
The Pink Apatite, I would reach out to when I’m eating my feelings. They shared a crystal blessing and a profound insight into the cause of addiction and how to escape it. They said…
The heart wants what the heart wants.
This is really at the heart of getting out of addiction—finding the thing that the heart wants, that is being temporarily appeased by the compulsion. You are far less likely to seek out a distraction (addictive behaviour) when you have something in your life that bring you joy—whether it is creative expression, exploring spirituality, a loving family, rewarding work, being with nature or whatever it is that makes your heart sing.
Vanadinite was one of my first crystal loves. Besides it’s lustrous beauty, I intentionally connected with it for it’s metaphysical properties. It was said to help us tap into our thrift in expending energy or spending money. As a shopaholic (now recovered), I started carrying Vanadinite around with me and I was surprised at how quickly my desire for overspending abated.
I reconnected with it during the holiday season several years ago (actually first 4 years ago and then 2 years ago). It showed me in a very literal sense about breaking addiction. I invite you to revisit that post if you would like to know more and to watch the videos below for Vanadinite’s crystal blessings.
And this one...
May you discover the joy that keeps you in your power.

Butterflies are one of the most beloved creatures in our world. I’m sure their pretty colours, soft wings and graceful flight has something to do with that. But I think we are most fascinated by the magic of their metamorphosis. Butterfly is one of my personal animal guides and having explored her medicine in a very deep way, I was surprised to find out something new about their metamorphosis.
While the caterpillar is in her chrysalis dormant “imaginal cells” (their actual scientific name) which hold the design for her destiny begin to awaken. At first the caterpillar resists and fights against the imaginal cells. So they begin to cluster together, becoming stronger with each new bond. The body of the caterpillar dissolves and she becomes the butterfly.
The other morning when I was walking in the forest, I was thinking about those imaginal cells of the butterfly. I glanced down and there at my feet was this very tiny beautiful white butterfly. Surprised for sure, it being November in Canada this encounter was unexpected. I stood there for a moment admiring her graceful fluttering, in awe at the synchronicity of our meeting. Because in one moment butterfly was a thought in my mind and in the very next there it was, manifest at my feet.
She was really tiny. I could have easily missed her. I found myself wondering about all the synchronicities we don’t notice—how narrow minded we can often be. Like the villagers in the Stone Soup story I shared with you in a recent post, who did not consider pooling their resources together before the traveller with the magic stone came to town. Tricked into offering the ingredients for a fabulous meal, they made something together that they would not have enjoyed had they kept their meagre possessions to themselves. On their own, they had very little. Together they created a feast.
That got me to thinking about what we’ve created together as human beings: our cities, our art, our architecture, our science and medicine, our collection of knowledge, our games, our philosophies, our exploration of our world and beyond. We have done all this together. We support each other in so many ways. We protect each other, we heal each other, we teach each other. We do all this and more, for each other and with each other, yet we somehow can still feel so alone.
The clustering together—like the imaginal cells of the caterpillar or the villagers that made the stone soup—makes us more powerful and opens up the potential for greatness.
We have so many visible and invisible sources of support around us. When we become conscious of this, we will not ever feel alone. And when we come together with awareness and with intention, anything that can be imagined is possible.
Just as the cells in the caterpillar know this, the forest where I saw the wee white butterfly knows this. If you watch the trees you can see how they cluster together. They reach out to each other, almost as if they are taking each other’s hands—across species. I have a bush outside my house which wraps itself around the pine tree as if it is hugging her. The pine tree reaches her branch out to the birch tree as they are holding hands. They have grown in circle around the house enveloping me in a protective cocoon, shielding me from the toxic energies that affect my sensitive nature.
Just as the trees know this, the crystals also know this. They grow together in clusters. They can remind us that like the imaginal cells, we can cluster together with others who share our vision and make impossible things come to life. That’s the purpose of the Stone Soup (community crystal elixir) being co-created next month. Each participant adds their own special magic (their crystal’s energy and their own) to the mix, collectively creating a nourishing, transformational medicine, that could not be made by any one individual.
Our societies are set up in such a way that we can feel very isolated. There are so many messages playing over and over that tell us we’re on our own, that it's every woman for herself, and this is the way of the world. We go about our lives without thought to all the human beings who have come together to make it all possible. That’s why we need to remind ourselves every single day of our interconnectedness with each other, and with the earth and her many creatures.
We don’t have to do this alone. We can choose to come together with people of like heart and create our creative clusters to remind us to tap into that energy of belonging and to co-create something as amazing as the caterpillar does with its imaginal cells.
In the meantime reach out for your own crystal cluster—it can be a twin or a single crystal because like humans and trees, all crystals are connected. Tap into this collective energy. Sit with them in stillness for a moment and begin to remember that you are also part of a collective cluster.
(As I finished this post, I found out about a forest grove of quaking aspens in Utah called the Trembling Giant, because it is actually a single organism of 47,000 or so genetically identical trees who share a single root system. This couldn’t have been a clearer message from the Universe about our interconnectedness.)

"It was as if a shift had occurred late on the nite of the 18th…the hamas commanders contacted Israeli ground forces and agreed to stop firing rockets and put down their weapons…rocket launchers were immediately dismantled and hamas leaders announced a complete cessation of violence towards israel…israeli military personnel together with PA personnel have been invited in to collect all weapons and demilitarize gaza…the jews muslims and christians in the area are all celebrating in the streets…peace is imminent…its a miracle…"
This wasn’t, I discovered, what was actually happening there. In reality missiles were flying back and forth. People were not dancing, they were dying. But this imaginal message got me to thinking. I was the only one (who I knew of) who believed it was true. There were many who wanted to believe it was true. Many wished it to be true. Many had hope that this would come to pass in the future. But nobody would accept that it was true NOW.
And is it because it is so hard to believe that keeps it from becoming a reality?
Do we have to SEE PEACE before we can experience it?
Do we have to believe that it is true for it to become our new reality?
I looked to the ones I often go to for deeper understanding. I looked to the Stone Beings. If we want to truly understand peace, the Stones and Crystals are the best beings on the planet to learn from … and the Stars are the ones outside our planet which can help us understand peace––but that is another conversation.
Crystals and Stones form under extreme and violet forces. Explosions, molten liquid, fractures and breaks. These are forces few others, if any, on our planet would survive. They are separated from their family clusters/community, they lose parts of themselves, they are smashed and crashed, they are torn and worn. These beings have seen turmoil and violence the likes of which most of us can barely imagine.
How did they end up in such a powerfully peaceful and physically beautiful state being born of such violent forces? Perhaps it was BECAUSE of their violent upbringing that they can understand such depth of peace. I wonder if it is because they accepted all parts of their existence “peacefully” without conflict within themselves. I personally believe that is a key of peacefulness … accepting what is without conflict. Conflict only breeds conflict.
It is like the caterpillar in the chrysalis, losing it’s current identity. Parts of its body dissolving away, replaced by something foreign – an INVADING entity. It essentially dies and is reborn in a completely different form. The caterpillar doesn’t struggle against the metamorphosis but rather initiates it and surrenders to the process.
Let’s open up a dialogue.
Let’s discuss peace instead of war.
I invite you to start your own conversations about peace––with your crystals, with yourself, with friends and family members, with your community, with the Universe.
I invite you to share your experiences or thoughts or ideas or imaginings about peace … about what you’ve gleaned from the wisdom of the stone beings in regards to peaceful presence.
What are the crystalline spirits saying to you about peace?
One of the simplest and quickest ways to enter into a state of inner calm and peace is by connecting with our breath. Aquamarine is a beautiful crystal guide for breath work. These gemmy blue crystals shared a breath technique in the Crystal Breath light log post.
Anthill Garnet is a magical stone that is mined by the ants themselves. They show us the incredible strength and power that comes from community.
Selenite shows us how to attract light by "being light". With each strand of light (of ourselves) that we unify, our power and strength grows.
Picture Jasper is a deeply nurturing stone and offers support to those of us who are experiencing inner conflict.

If you don’t know the story, this magnetic stranger charmed the townspeople into sharing just a little bit of their food to make the already delicious soup just a little bit better—a few carrots, some potatoes, some cabbage and other such small offerings. By the time it was done the villagers, who on their own had little, now all enjoyed a magnificent bounty of the most delicious soup any of them had ever tasted.
Sharing this story with you has inspired me to gather our community to make our own stone soup. Each person will add their crystal’s energy and their own to create a potent magical elixir that will heal and nourish each one.
This inspiration came to me while I was typing this post, so it’s fresh and undeveloped. I’ll send details of the when and the how in an upcoming Sunday Sparkle newsletter. Sign up now if you want to be a part of this community co-creation.
In the meantime, you can make your own stone soup—also known as crystal Elixirs or crystal essences.
Place a crystal, or 2 or a circle of crystals beside a clear glass vessel (a bottle or a glass) filled with high quality water and allow it to absorb the crystal energies. The elixir can be placed by a window to be energized by sunlight or moonlight. You can choose to co-create your elixir under the energies of a full or new moon or during special planetary alignments, like solstice, a even a special birthday.
Some people place their crystals inside the water. It’s really not necessary. Crystal energy is readily absorbed by water. The stones don’t need to be inside the water.
However, some crystals are toxic to ingest, so if you’re placing them directly in the water, make sure that you do some research first.
There are many ways to create crystal elixirs. I call my special blend of energies, Star Songs. Angels are always present when they are being co-created. The Star Songs heal in innumerable ways.
They clear old toxic patterns through a gentle awakening to your origin and purpose. They also reach deep into our essence and spark powerful soul level transformations. I drink them on a regular basis—they nourish and keep me feeling well. I apply them to my body when I need focussed energy, like when I am exposed to toxic chemicals or when a migraine comes on, they instantly ease the pain.
Members of my crystal community have shared many stories of their experience with the Star Songs...
Hi Smadar, ... the experiences i have had, and are still having are – actually I’m trying to find words but i can’t. Never have i had so much come up at once, realisations, now it all makes sense, wow why did i not know that before moments, emotions that i have pushed down for so long and have not allowed myself to feel are all coming up. The wonderful thing about it is that, it’s OK, everything is great. …… Much love, light and blessings—Jan from New Zealand
I am so grateful for receiving my Star Song from Smadar. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it came at just the right time. In the weeks that I received my Star Song, all kinds of wonderful shifts happened in my life. I cut my hair, which had been long for 20 years. I changed the direction and focus of my business in a way that felt really aligned with me. I faced and worked through some of my deepest fears and I brought several potential romantic partners into my life.—Maria from Toronto, Canada
I invite you to play with making crystal waters. You might be surprised at what happens. Get in touch if you would like to experience a Star Song.
I have in the past co-create Star Songs for groups and I will be offering that again for a short time with crystals which have been hi-lighted in recent posts. This will also be announced in upcoming Sunday Sparkle Newsletters.

I’m not apologizing for it. I’m not ashamed of it. I’m not afraid of it. At least not any longer. There was a time where I buried my anger deep inside. It’s what we’re trained to do.
Smile.
Don’t complain. Stay positive.
Be a good little human and play nice with others.
No wonder therapists are so busy. They are one of the last few safe havens where people can unburden themselves of their anger—where it is ok to speak openly without fear of judgement, reprisal, admonishment, guilt, shame and—the big one—blame.
Anger has been fitted with a black hat and grouped with all the other things we’ve decided are the worst parts of humanity—like poison and poverty. So you had better bottle it up lest it is seen and censured—then kept in quarantine until there’s proof that it’s cured and others are safe from catching it.
Anger has been suppressed by so many of us for so long that it’s considered strange and unusual behaviour. One that needs “management”. I’m talking about anger here—not violence that’s results from anger or arises from suppressing it. Anger needs to be expressed. If it’s buried, it builds until it explodes.
The truth is anger is actually a normal human emotion. It is a part of our grief cycle—so it is inevitable. With all that happens in our world, grief is a common experience—personally and collectively. It’s also part of another common human response—the fight, flight, freeze or fawn reaction to danger and trauma.
When we are in these deep emotional states, it’s not just anger we feel, it’s rage. Rage that is part of a primal, natural, vital and protective biological response. As a highly sensitive person, I came to understand this when it happened enough times that I saw a pattern.
I first noticed it when every time a certain family friend would visit I would become extremely irritable—bordering on rage. And though my response never went beyond grouchiness, I would then feel guilt, remorse, shame and blame. Later I would find out that this person was wearing a fragrance that my body was reacting to. The rage was a natural defence mechanism designed to keep me safe.
This rage emerged every time I was exposed to certain chemicals. It became a signal to me that there was a toxin in my environment and gave me time to make myself safe before my body was affected. When I paid attention and listened to my body, like I do to the crystals, I found wisdom and power. I discovered that my body was always working to stay in harmony.
Rage is protective. When we are unconscious of that, the sheer magnitude of power behind this very intense emotion can be overwhelming. It can be easier and definitely less uncomfortable to bury it. We can only avoid it for so long. Eventually it will seep out in insidiously noxious ways or bursts out in potentially dangerous ways—leaving us feeling drained and very alone.
When you become conscious of why rage shows up and the ways it rises in you, there is the potential to tap into an enormous amount of power and energy. Power that can be used to heal, to transform stagnation and even to spark innovation or revolution.
Awareness is the beginning. Knowing the body and the self is key in harnessing its power. Once you are safe, creativity is a beautiful outlet for rage. Of course, crystals are incredible sources of strength for us when dealing with power. Just consider the way that they are created—from extreme pressure, heat, turbulence, and of course time.
I listened for volunteers to help us transform rage to inner power and Monk Crystals and Snakeskin Agate answered the call...
Tibetan quartz Crystals, hand harvested by monks. Someone in the crystal community was wanting to connect with one but they had been hiding at the time. She reached back out and asked if I’d found the “Monk” Crystals yet and now that’s what I call them. It makes so much sense that these crystals would be helpful in learning how to stay in peaceful presence while holding great a powerful energy in the body.
Any crystal with animal presence and energy could be a good ally in drawing constructive from rage but the snakeskin agate were the ones singing. There is big magic in these stone beings—especially the 13 which visited me in my dream. If you’ve ever held one, you know that snakes are such peaceful creatures. They’ve been as demonized as anger has.
A dear friend wrote a powerful poem and generously offered to share it with our community. This is a beautiful sample of tapping into anger to spark creative expression and a beautiful ending to our discussion (the cherry).
Sister fire-eater
Anger burns like fire
Eternally blazes
Flaring up when least expected
Roars uncontrollably
Instantaneously erupts
Fills my being
Flames through my core
Takes me over
Cuts like a knife
Cracklings disturb the blackened smoke
Squelch it
Scorching inferno
And Inward it burns
Flammable aggression ignites
Adds fuel to abusive hazardously toxic roaring combustion
Sister Fire-eater…. treat it tenderly
Be still with it
Feel it
Fan it
Use it
Tend to it
Tame and contain it with patience and understanding
Anger burns like fire
Eternally blazes
Flaring up when least expected
Roars uncontrollably
Instantaneously erupts

Is your world a safe place?
Are you safe in your country?
Are you safe to speak openly and freely?
Are you safe in your neighbourhood?
Are you safe with your family and in your closest relationships?
Are you safe in your own body?
Really ask this question...Are you safe?
Because often times we go through life numb to the simple, basic need for safety. Not realizing that at some level we don’t feel safe.
It’s what so many health practitioners and light workers and those who understand the way the brain works, do central nervous system work of focussing on signalling safety in the body. It’s why they teach and do practices like hugging and rocking the body, humming or singing, affirmations or mantras, breathing into the base of the spine or square (box) breathing.
These are beautiful practices when you are feeling stressed or mildly anxious. It can be a challenge to remember to take such self care measures when fear and panic sends your body into a state of fight, flight, fawn or freeze. That’s why it’s so important to practice bringing your body into a feeling of safety on a regular basis.
In the meantime, for times when logic escapes us and we forget all about our tools, we can simply pick up a crystal. That might be all that’s needed for calm to come back into the body.
If you do have a regular practice of signalling safety in the body, consider inviting in a crystal to join you. The stone being will hold the memory (vibrational pattern) of the techniques and when you pick up the crystal, it will be easier to remember them.
Any crystal can be your practice buddy, but there are a few who were singing. The diamond shape was being reflected to me from the Universe all week. When the first 2 stones volunteered, I understood why.
Mica Diamonds: In the shape of a diamond, these reflective, violet stone beings are filled with soothing, peaceful frequencies. They are a book crystal—stacks of thin delicate layers which become strong as they fuse together. This crystal’s diamond shape is key to its support for calling in the feeling of being safe.
Shungite or Diamond: They are another facet of Diamond medicine. Both aspects of Carbon, they carry the sacred, secret recipe of alchemy—the transmutation of one substance into another and I don’t know any other element which demonstrates that more powerfully than Carbon and Diamond.
Copal: Our crystal of the year keep showing us more ways to connect with them. Their name is key in the way it can help us. Copal sounds like cope-all.

There is something else that can be done. Something that will not only help ease personal trauma and take us out of fear but, I believe, it is one of the most powerful ways to counter conflict. Yet is is often the last thing we think of doing. It can be done by anyone anywhere, any time, any place. It is a simple thing, yet it is often the hardest for us. That is to find peace from within.
I invited a crystal in to help us to find this inner peace. Sacred Seven volunteered. Sacred Seven showed up once before when our world was in crisis—during the global pandemic. A very specific one actually. It brought in a vibrant rainbow from the darkness. It was the Colours of Peace.
Now another Sacred Seven Crystal is singing for us. They first made themselves known to me after a dream I had when a family member was experiencing a serious cough (from a virus which came after a deep loss). In my dream I embedded 7 sacred seven crystals into their chest. Of course when I woke up I gathered the 7 crystals and co-created a Star Song for them and applied it to their chest—if you’re wondering the cough shifted almost immediately.
There was another crystal that was singing at the same time. Embedded inside the crystal were several pods that were distinct and separate from the mother, while being one with her. I counted 7. Sound familiar?
I called this crystal the Kurlan Naiskos because it reminded me of a fictional artefact belonging to the extinct Kurlan civilization from “The Chase” episode in the Star Trek Next Generation series. The Naiskoi was a large wide hollow figurine which when you lifted the top revealed several smaller figurines inside. It represented the belief that within every individual was a community of individuals, each with their own voice, desire and view of the world.
I felt a resonance with this fictional philosophy because I have experienced the dissonance of the inner conflict of my many selves. It looks like I’m not the only one who was influenced by this artifact. Someone on Etsy actually made one:
So then the key to inner peace is finding a way to live in harmony with all the different parts of the self. To accept and see the beauty in each facet, because like the diamond it is the many facets that creates the brilliance. When we can find that harmony within ourselves, we will be able to see the beauty and blessings in the diversity of all the communities in our world. And so it can be seen how inner peace can lead to peace in our world.

I shared the whole story in the video below. About fairies hiding crystals; and missing jewels; and games and synchronicity; and finally an invitation to see something magical about yourself that you might not have otherwise seen.
This morning, I walked with my Angels and I heard their prayers.
It began with one of my own.
Tell me my ethereal guardians what do you pray for?
They told me that they pray for the same things that everyone prays for...to dance with light and feel the Divine’s breath on their cheek. To feel love and to know that their love is felt. And before they return home, to know that their presence in this Universe mattered. To know that even when they were not seen, their protection and guidance was felt.
So when you fall on bended knee and call out to your guardians for help, know that they are listening. Know that they are praying too and they are heard. And know this as well...that you too are an answer to someone’s prayers.

A spider dropped down in front me the other night. Hanging from an invisible strand of strong silk, seemingly floating in mid air, this tiny creature and I were face to face. It was a little startling but more so, I was fascinated by her. She reminded me of a pair of crystals I’d been planning to talk to you about.
The first was a natural citrine quartz cluster who told me that they were here to offer the light frequency of freedom to those who needed to extricate themselves from a cult. Dramatic and extreme yes, but bear with me. As I tell you this story, it might be more relevant to you than you might first think.
I was not expecting the next crystal to sing in the same frequency as the golden cluster. Besides their both being of a golden tone, there was nothing very similar about them. After I took a magnifying glass to the Copal Crystal, I found a spider. A golden spider! Then the connection became more clear.
Spiders are masters at the trap. Few who get tangled in their web are able to escape. Now this master of the trap is herself trapped—encased in golden glass for all time. It perfectly understandable why these two stones were humming in harmony.
Copal showed up at the beginning of 2023 to support those us in coping with collective trauma (Copal = cope-all). This glowing amber beauty also shared a song about keeping true to who we are:
While we may not be trapped in a cult, human beings are easily indoctrinated into a lifestyle or belief (religious, political, or even social) that has us suppressing our wants and needs in order to fit in and out of fear of being cancelled.
But we’ve got these golden beings...the citrine, the Copal and the spider to wake us up to situations which are disempowering and show us how to keep from losing our voice.
I don’t think I realized just how important spider was in all of this until this morning. I got a late start to my morning tree bathing in a nearby wood lot that I call “The Forest”. I noticed a branch on one of the trees that was shimmering. It looked like it was covered in plastic wrap. I went in for a closer look. What I saw took my breath away. The whole branch was covered in what looked like tiny white spheres—eggs? There were hundreds, if not thousands, of them.
I stood there, fascinated, curious about what they were. Then some of them started moving—or were they all moving. I saw little legs. Were they spiders? Then one floated down towards the ground and I had my answer. It moved the same way as the spider who dropped in on me earlier this week.
Getting to witness this was a blessing and I knew that it was no coincidence. I was taken back to one of my favourite childhood stories, Charlotte’s Web. I remembered Charlotte putting all her energy into creating her egg sac and when she was done, she died. But then hundreds, if not thousands, of babies were born.
How is this connected to being extricated from a cult?
I had this strong inspiration to stop in the middle of writing this to take photos of these cult crystals. (The Copal dropped in the process and now there are 3 crystals). When I loaded them onto the computer, I saw that there were 88 photos. The 8 so significant to Spider—the 8 legs, the figure 8 shape of the body. The number showing up twice as if to accentuate spider’s presence and purpose.
Maybe that was what it was all about—bringing awareness to spider’s significance. Interestingly, I have been pondering my own value in a group I am a part of. Maybe whether we have importance and influence in our circle/group/society is the way to gauge whether we are being supported and valued or controlled and manipulated.
If you are feeling stuck in a life that you did not intentionally choose, reach out to this magical trio...Citrine, Copal, Spider to tap into the frequency of freedom.

This sacred earth alignment opens up doorways to the inbetween places—the realms of the nature beings and portals to the heavens. We can feel the presence of faeries and elves and angels and orbs and other magical beings more powerfully (or connect more easily) at this time.
We may also be feeling things more deeply in our body and emotions. When the planet shifts, our bodies shift because we are not separate from our earth mother. At some level, we sense the changes that happen on our planet—both subtle and grand.
If we become disconnected from our bodies or don’t take the time to check in to how we’re feeling, we might not notice those changes, at least not on a conscious level. And truthfully, we can get by just fine. That’s because we live in a time where information about earth shifts, weather, moon cycles, planetary alignments and anything else we want to know about the planet, comes directly to us via our devices. So we don’t need to pay such close attention.
Life’s much too busy to take the time needed to feel all the feels. Besides, not all the feels are comfortable. The transition between seasons is enough to deal with. Especially the transition from summer to fall.
Autumn is offers the most beautiful transition with its show of colour and the blanket of soft fallen leaves that’s so pleasant to walk on. But it can be the most shocking to the body. I wonder if the Universe showers us with rich jewel tones to take some of the sting out of the drastic temperature change.
Something very magical happened here with some crystals who were singing as the equinox was approaching. It started when I had this sudden impulse to search for a crystal that had been missing for some time. As I was rummaging through the crystals, I lifted up a jar of Lithium Quartz that seemed too light for the amount of crystals it was holding.
What happened was that the jar had broken—in an unusual way I might add—so that I was picking up 3/4 of the jar, leaving behind the bottom piece and the crystals spilled out the side onto the table. The thick solid mason jar had been in a cabinet, untouched, and there was no reason for it to break. Even if it had been bumped by one of the other jars nearby, it should not have broken that way. It looked like the jar had been scored all the way around, though unevenly, and the two pieces came apart.
I didn’t have time to ponder this mystery. I put the crystals in a fresh jar, threw away the 2 pieces and continued on with the day.
A couple of days later, as the solstice was beginning, I listened for some stones to share with the crystal community. There were several volunteers. I was carrying a couple of jars up the stairs to photograph them by the big picture window. I tripped and fell and the jar with Black Tourmaline crystals flew up in the air and landed on the floor with a thud.
You’d expect a shattered mess of lots of glass and crystals to clean up right
Wrong!
What happened was this jar broke in very much the same way as the jar of Lithium Crystals broke a couple days earlier. Two pieces. Scored all the way around, in a jagged way. Similar proportions. Now I was really paying attention.
I had to get to a meeting so I went on with the day. At the meeting we did a short guided meditation, which was interrupted by the Lithium and Tourmaline crystals telling me that they are coming together to guide us through the transition into fall. They said that when we feel the dissonance of energetic noise around us, we can hold one of them in each hand and they would create a bubble of quiet, peaceful energy for us to shelter in.
Click play to hear the full story and see these magical crystals and the broken jar.
I will be pairing the crystals in harmonically matched duets and offering them, at a special discounted fee, to the crystal community through the Sunday Sparkle newsletter. I don’t know if this message of theirs applies only to these specific crystals or if the energetic bubble of peacefulness will be created with any pair of Lithium and Black Tourmaline crystals. I invite you to try it out and please let me know what you discover.

In the big scheme of things, such occurrences are rare. But as a crystal whisperer, I’ve seen it happen on many an occasion. That’s because it’s part of my purpose to bring people and crystals together.
Such a thing happened earlier this week when a beautiful Aquamarine Crystal began singing for someone. I was very tired that day and by 8pm my eyelids began closing involuntarily. Have you ever seen that cartoon cat with toothpicks holding his open and his eyes are so heavy that one by one the picks snap? That was me.
Of course I’d already gone to bed when I heard the silent song. It was so compelling that I went back down to play with the crystals until I had it in my hands. I'm not sure how long it was. It could have been an hour or 2.
Responding to a crystal’s whispers is very much like dancing, your body moving in harmony with the rhythm getting completely lost in the music, not even realizing you’d been dancing until the song has ended.
You’ll often hear me referring to it as a dance. Because it is a co-creation—a partnership. Two bodies, gracefully moving together as one. Both responding, as much to each other as to the beat of the song.

That milky blue stone was for my friend. The other aqua crystals that are here are singing for you. I have tried to share them many times before but something always distracted me. Some crystals are like that. They are on a very specific timeline. The stars must be aligned just so. The moon in the right phase. The players must be present and ready. Their time was now.
After being quiet for so long, they were humming quite vibrantly now. I find myself wondering if their electric energy is the cause of my restlessness this week. It was either that or the rare passing of the Nishimura comet (every 440 years).
These tiny, beautifully formed aqua crystals are saying that through the filter of their blue tone, they purify and transform anything that has become embedded and is obstructing the airways. They show us how to release the resistance to the irritation by rediscovering a part of the self that has been hidden or denied. This will not only cleanse the passageways but also renders the toxin (allergen/irritant) inert.
These crystals have come forward to show us how to breathe more gently, more easily and more effectively. They inspired this breath practice...
In the moments that your breath is strained, you can breathe in the blue of aquamarine to clear the channels. But don’t wait until you have a moment of stress in the breath to practice breathing with crystals.
Sit in stillness with an aquamarine crystal in your palm or somewhere near your body. If you are laying down you can place it on your chest near your lungs. Then take in the energy of the blue of the crystal on the inhale.
Imagine the light of this crystal as a light pale blue mist being drawn into your nose and spreading through your lungs. This cool colour feeling warm in your chest.
Imagine this mist moving through all the pathways and channels of your breathing organs, clearing and cleansing any stagnation or obstruction, transforming any blocked energy into that same gentle blue light.
On the exhale, your breath, in harmony with the crystal’s blue light, fills the air around you with an energy of gentle support.
We can do this together at our next live crystal mediation.
As well as for breathwork, invite these aquamarine crystals into your meditation practice and keep them nearby at night for deeper sleep. In a very playful way, they told me that aquamarine can be a bridge between our world and the Elvin community.
I don’t know if what was shared by these crystals is for all aquamarine. I always say to take what is given about a crystal’s metaphysical properties lightly and explore for yourself what will come from your personal relationship with the stone beings.
Important note: the metaphysical information that was shared is for educational and informational purposes only, and does not constitute medical advice.

Dragon Crystals are those stone beings who carry the spirit and energy of the dragon. They are easily recognizable, if not in form, definitely in their energetic emanations. Dragon embodies ancient power and great physical strength, Its energy is colossal, primal, regal. It is guardian. It is protector. Even those who are just beginning to sense the subtle vibrations of crystals will easily recognize a Dragon Crystal.
Any type of crystal can carry the Dragon energy. Crystals like Bastnaesite, Septarian, Dragon Skin Obisidian, Dragon Blood Stone, Blue Dragon Crystals, Dragon Bones, and other crystals of the Dragon Guard. These magical beings have been a constant presence at both Song of Stones and in my personal life.
Many are intimidated by Dragon’s might. She has a great strength that commands respect and engenders fear. The ironic thing is, when one feels intimidated, Dragon is the very best guide to call upon. She can reveal a secret to you about this great power she holds. She can show you how to tap into your own source of power.
Tenderness is not a term we normally associate with Dragon but it is a very large part of her energy. She does not use her fire to harm—only to protect. Any myths about her to the contrary come from fear of her power and her seemingly indestructible armour.
I thought I had a good understanding of Dragon energy but I experienced a new side of this beautiful creature through a star song.
In embodying her energy, I felt a surge of confidence and a feeling of being comfortable in my own skin. Things that were normally intimidating, didn’t even phase me. Having been a consummate people-pleaser for a good deal of my life, I suddenly became quite comfortable with people who didn’t like me, or who were angry with me.
Energy coming at me that would normally cause pain or doubt, would just bounce off my skin or burn in my breath. I did not become “fired” up by words shot at me like spears. I remained unaffected and in my heart. We were motivated, inspired and moved by our own purpose —rather than being influenced by what someone else thought about me. There was no confusion about what my purpose was because it was sparked from within.
This is Dragon energy at its basest. Feeling confident, comfortable, safe, free, open, and honest. It holds the vibration of truth without fear. This Star Song inspired me to be truthful in every aspect of my being—in heart and body as well as with our words. But even greater is that it showed me how be ok in another’s truth without judgement, without resistance and without taking offence.
Dragon’s energy manifests in the way that is most needed and most beneficial. That may be with fierce protectiveness or the gentlest touch.
Another of dragon’s many facets were revealed when a dragon crystal sang to me under the energies of a Full Moon. He whispered his messaged to my heart. His message was one of connecting you to the ancient hidden energy of the dragon beings.
“It is not too hard to imagine that there are secrets hidden in the Universe that have been unknown to us for centuries and may continue to elude us far into the future.
However, it is harder to fathom that there is a strength and power hidden within the flesh and bones of your own body that have lain dormant your entire life. This inner power is stirring awake now and we have come to show you how to harness it.”
Dragon came to guide me at a time were I was beginning to express myself and my truth in a more open and much bolder way than ever before. Without fully realizing it, I had been holding so much of myself back. Standing in the energy of Dragon’s majestic vibrations, I found myself feeling freed, unrestrained and unafraid of speaking my truth—even knowing that my words will send some running in the other direction.
Through my experiences in connecting with mystical guides, I have come to understand at a very deep level, a sacred truth. This power I was accessing was not an energy that was outside myself … I was reconnecting with a forgotten part of myself that matched the frequency of my guide’s (Dragon in this case) vibrations.
Dragon didn’t come forth to “give me” a power that I didn’t have before. Dragon came to remind me of a part of myself I’d buried and forgotten. In much the same way that she has been forgotten to the world. It’s not that any human alive doesn’t know who she is … it’s that they don’t believe that she’s real. It’s that doubt that creates the disconnect between us.
When we remember Dragon, she becomes real again. The same thing happens when we remember our self.

This applies collectively—so humanity as a whole experiences a certain energy together. A good example of that was in 2020. People noticed and commented on the year as if it were an entity, whether they were spiritually minded or not.
This energy around time applies personally as well. You may have noticed that certain years were more fun, more quiet, more social, more solitary, more prosperous, or more tragic. You may have even heard yourself say something like...17 was my most reckless year, or 22 was the year of love, or 40 was the age I felt most comfortable in my body. It may not be something that you do consciously, but there is something universal about engaging with time in this way.
The years pass quickly and we may pause for a moment on our birthday to lament over the things we planned to do but never got around to. We are easily distracted though, and quickly fall back into old habits. It doesn’t necessarily dawn on us that we can go into our next year with intention. That rather than allow life to happen to us, we can play an active role in the co-creation of our life.
That’s where the Birthday Crystal comes in.
The birthday crystal is not the same as your birthstone, which comes from a standardized list made by the National Association of Jewelers combining various customs but ultimately choosing stones which would be practical for Jewelers to sell in large quantities.
It’s also not the same as your zodiac stone. Those are the crystals that complement and support your sun sign’s quirks and traits. While the birthstone list is standardized, there are many different opinions as to which zodiac stones match which signs.
It can be fun to have a special stone dedicated to your month of birth or your zodiac sign. In a generic world where it can be a struggle to find identity, it’s nice to have something that feels tailored.
Your birthday crystal is far more personal than one you’ll find on either list. This is a stone which will come into your life with a gift(s) specifically related to you and your purpose. This is a crystal which takes you into greater clarity and awareness of the power you have over the unfolding of your life. It puts you in touch with the energy of the coming year and emanates frequencies akin to a map and compass with which to navigate the unknown. With this magical, high frequency guide, you can choose to walk this year more awake.
Begin by opening up to inviting in a Birthday Crystal a few weeks before your birthday, if possible. Then let the Universe guide you to your crystal. It could be more than one crystal—a duet, a trio, even a circle of crystals. If you are open to it, the crystal will appear in some magical way—whether someone gifts it to you, you find it in nature, or you are led to adopting (buying) it in some synchronistic way. The crystal may show up before or after your birthday. Trust the timing.
You can always reach out to me to listen for the stone who is singing just for you. Hearing the song of stones is one of my superpowers.
Stay close to your crystal. Meditate with it, sleep with it, work with it, journal with it. Keep it near for a full rotation around the sun—until your next birthday. And if you liked the journey, and I imagine you will, do it all again.
]]>
When I sit with the stones and connect deeply with their open and inviting energy, it’s easy to listen. It’s not as easy when I try to listen to the still small voice over the noise of my mind. The mind vies for my attention as my youngest child does, and both often find a clever way to distract me from my current focus.
Tonight…at 11:22…I gave my attention to some elegant, dark Aegerine Crystals. They have a song. A message of reflection-–of listening to the self.
The elegance of their physical form is a reflection of the elegance of their strength of will…their resolute commitment to their purpose.
There is a grace and beauty that comes from standing strong in who you are and what you bring forth into this world that was created soul-ly to allow you to express that gift.
All of life has gathered together to set the scene for you to do what you came here to do…for you to shine your light onto this world so that you could SEE YOURSELF!
LOOK…look directly into this mirror that takes it’s form all around you. DARE to see yourself. Don’t be afraid. There’s another purpose for all those who have gathered together to play this game called life. They are here to offer their support.
That is what Aegerine shared with us this evening. It is connected to the pact I made with myself today-–of course-–except it is carried further and deeper.
This message is for you and for me. We are but a reflection of each other.
