Healing the father wound with Crystals
Father...he holds us in his strong arms, promising that he will always keep us safe. He throws us up into the air so that we can have the experience of freedom, and then always catches us. He gently pushes us out beyond what we believe our boundaries to be and celebrates us in each step we take beyond them. He protects us from all life’s dangers with a grizzly’s ferocity.
Today we celebrate him.
Father figure
Not all of us have a strong and healthy father figure in our lives. Someone who models for us, the best qualities of their paternal role. Someone who will make us feel safe, secure and watched over. Someone who we look up to and who by being his best self, inspires us to be our best self.
But all of us have those paternal, masculine qualities within us. Man or woman, we carry pieces of the other. It’s not a gender thing—it’s an energetic thing. Which means all that makes a father lives inside of us. It is a part of us, whether or not our father is still present in our lives or if we’ve had a model father. Of course, for those of us who have not had the ideal relationship with our dads, we might not know how to begin to find the father love from within.
The Father crystal can direct us into that energy.
What is the father crystal?
The father crystal is the stone being we call on when we want to connect deeply with the parts of ourselves that will bring us into that strong, powerful paternal love and presence.

It takes us into the deep connection that comes from blood ties—the innate knowing that these people would lay down their life for you and you for them.

Protector
The father crystal will connect us with the protector within us. This part of the father energy is powerfully primal. There is no line a father will not cross to protect his family. It touches on the universal need to feel protected and also to be the protector. It is one that lives in both the son and the father.
The father crystal will show us how to find our inner protector when battling monsters in the dark (ours or our loved one’s). It will ease the fear of unknown, hidden dangers and help us to feel safe.

Heal the father wound
Fathers have a key role in our lives. When there unresolved issues in our relationships with our fathers or feelings that have not been expressed, this can impact our well being on every level. There are many ways to bring healing to the father wound. One of the gentlest and most powerful I have found, is to accept our relationship as it is and to find the father love from within. This is especially important if our fathers are no longer in our lives for whatever reason.

You can feel it
Any crystal can potentially be a father crystal. It will definitely have a masculine form. But not all masculine crystals will have the father frequency. You will recognize it by its powerfully loving and protective energy. You will feel it in the same way that you always felt when your father had come home.
There are many crystals that can show us how to start to mend the father shaped wounds in our heart.
