The Money Crystal

When you feel yourself being manipulated or intimidated through your pocketbook, this crystal can help you to tune back into your power centre. It’s been called the merchant stone. I call it the money crystal. It glows with a golden light. It is Citrine.

I was inspired to share a message from this crystal with you when I found myself in this very situation earlier this week. There have been some changes made to the way Canadians ship crystals across the border to their neighbours. One of the changes requires duties and taxes to be prepaid. 

A crystal aha

If I’m going to be honest, this was a button pusher for me. It did not feel good in my body. But here’s the thing—it was not the extra costs or the extra time and energy that this would require that bothered me. It was the purpose behind the changes. It was the fact that this was a power play—an intimidation tactic. The purpose behind it was to disempower and I felt disempowered. For a minute.

It’s amazing what the light of awareness and a shift in perspective can do to bring that sense of power back to the self. And of course—the presence of that special crystal that you can tap into to feel an immediate connection with that power centre—and which inspired that aha in the star at the centre of my body. In the chakra system it’s called the solar plexus or navel chakra. And while there are many crystals we can tune into for that power boost, Citrine was the one singing for me this time.

Money and power

Citrine helped me to see that those who play at disempowering others through the use of money are trying to strike fear in our hearts in a desperate attempt at control. It is because they themselves feel powerless.

It was not the first time I’d felt disempowered by money. It was a familiar feeling. We live in a society where money shapes our experiences in many ways. That’s likely why I’ve not met one person, rich or poor, who didn’t have some kind of issue with money. So of course money will tempt us, and there will be times that we will be manipulated by money—probably more times than we are aware of.

A crystal guide

Citrine can show us that money is just one way to experience power and abundance. These crystals put us in touch with the feelings of freedom, security and choice that we are looking to achieve by having more money. And while money can bring more ease and luxuriousness into our lives, that feeling of power that you are seeking is ultimately found within. You just need to know how to tap into it. Citrine will guide you there. 

Citrine whispered to us…

When you live life in this energy of abundance, then you will become more attractive to that which will make your life more luxurious. And at that point you won’t need the nicer phone, the bigger house or the fancier car. But if you choose to have them, you’ll enjoy them so much more.

Citrine began singing to me before I knew I was going to need their wisdom and their message of money. This happens often with the crystals. They show up even before we know they need them. I’m glad I trusted when I was inspired to have a pendant made of this crystal so that it could hang near my heart.
