Mothering the Crystal Way

A Mother’s Day reflection

Mother energy…

She is soft, but never weak.

She is the feeling of being held without needing to explain yourself first.
The warmth that says: you can rest now.

She is inviting, accepting, endlessly forgiving.

She is the calm voice that appears in the middle of panic.
The deep wisdom that somehow knows exactly what to say when life feels impossible to untangle.

She nourishes.
She listens.
She stays.

She is the maker of medicine and bringer of food.
The one who tends to wounds you cannot always see.

There is no distance too far.
No sacrifice too great.
No darkness she would not walk through carrying a small light for you.

The quintessential mother.

And yet… many of us did not experience motherhood this way.

Some of us were loved imperfectly.
Some of us were misunderstood.
Some learned early that comfort was something to earn instead of something freely given.

It is a lot to ask of any one human being—to embody unconditional love at all times.

But here is what I have come to believe:

This energy still belongs to you.

Not outside of you.
Not reserved for the lucky few.
Not accessible only through another person.

It lives quietly within your own heart.

The remembering of that truth is most of the journey.

And strangely, the hardest part is rarely the access itself.
It is loosening the old story that says nurturing can only come from one place… one person… one version of love.

So how do we begin to remember?

There are many paths inward.
But when I am shifting old paradigms, I often turn to crystals.

They hold ancient, steady wisdom.
Not loud. Not forceful.
Just deeply present.

They can show us how to tune into the mother energy within our own hearts.

A few crystals came forward so clearly for this message.

Rhodonite — The Rose Heart

Deep, rich, gemmy Rhodonite practically sang for this piece.

Its name comes from the Greek rhodon, meaning rose — a flower so often gifted to mothers, and for good reason. Roses carry tenderness, devotion, softness, and strength all at once.

Rhodonite feels like that to me too.

It reminds us that love is not the absence of pain.
It is the willingness to keep the heart open through it.

Chrysocolla — Mother Earth Herself

Then came the song of Chrysocolla tumbles from Peru.

This stone carries the colours of the Earth so beautifully that it feels impossible not to think of Gaia herself while holding it.

There is something deeply maternal about Chrysocolla.
Grounding. Ancient. Wise.

She does not rush your healing.
She simply sits beside you long enough for truth to rise to the surface.

Pink Fluorite — Tender Strength

Pink Fluorite holds a softer frequency of the Divine Feminine.

Not fragile softness.
True softness. The kind that comes from safety, self-trust, and emotional honesty.

The kind that no longer needs to harden to survive.

Copal — Mother Medicine

Copal was our crystal of the year in 2023, and I still feel her so strongly.

She is healer and sealer of open wounds.
A sacred balm for the places still aching beneath the surface.

Mother medicine in every sense.

Celestite — The Heart Awakener

And then there is Celestite.

This crystal changed something for me.

She taught me that blue stones do not belong exclusively to the throat chakra. Some blue stones speak directly to the heart.

The first time I held Celestite, I instinctively placed it against my chest.

Not my throat.
My heart.

And immediately, emotions I had carefully tucked away began to rise gently to the surface.

Not to overwhelm me.
To be witnessed.

Its energy is soft, supportive, deeply compassionate.
The kind of presence that reminds you of your worth without needing to say much at all.

A cool-coloured crystal with an unmistakably heart-warming effect.

Just like mother energy itself.

Access Limitless Love

And there was another who just whispered her love. She teaches us how to access limitless love without ever feeling depleted. Click the play button below to find out how:

So if you find yourself longing for nurturing… for reassurance… for a softer place to land this Mother’s Day, perhaps begin within.

Sit quietly with a crystal.
Place your hand over your heart.
Listen.

You may discover that the love you have been searching for has been waiting there all along.
