How rainbow crystals instantly balance the chakras
“A rainbow always lets you know, without any shadow of a doubt, that you are never alone, you are eternally blessed, and you are dearly loved!”
― Sarah Rajkotwala, Fairy Sparkles
A small circle of rare little crystals, coated in iron and shimmering with every color of the spectrum, began singing to us last week. At first, it was a gentle hum. Little did I know I was about to step into a week of grey skies and stormy weather. But perhaps the crystals knew. They offered the spectrum of light before I even realized how much I’d need it.
Instantly balance the Chakras
Color is a profoundly transformational force in our world. When all colors appear together—like in a rainbow—they unlock a new dimension of energy and magic. When this is combined with the crystalline presence, the potential for healing and transformation is amplified even further.
Rainbows help align and balance all our chakras simultaneously. It’s not about receiving equal amounts of each color, but rather trusting the body to draw what it needs from the full spectrum the crystal offers—like an endless elixir of light.
Rainbows on the surface
When we think of rainbows in crystals, clear quartz often comes to mind—those beautiful, transparent stones with internal fractures that refract all the chakra colors. But rainbows also appear in opaque crystals, and, on rare occasions, even on their surface.
Anandalite, also known as Rainbow Crystals, is a beautiful example of a crystal with natural surface rainbows. The colors shimmer on their faces like tiny miracles. The crystals that were singing for us this week were coated in a dark mineral coating—and it’s from that deep shade that the rainbows appeared. Interestingly, against a dark backdrop, these colors become even more vivid—sometimes easier to see than in clear quartz.
How do rainbows form in the dark?
As sunlight bounces off spindle-shaped hematite nano-crystals, the waves of light reflect and overlap revealing a rainbow of vivid colour, which is displayed so vividly against the deep tone of the hematite. This harmony of crystal form and light creates a natural prism.
I’ve seen rainbows like this before. In oil pools. I didn’t think that there was a connection between hematite and petroleum but it turns out that hematite is added to drilling muds to increase their density, which helps control well pressure and prevent blowouts.
The physical properties of crystals often reflect their metaphysical properties. Isn’t it interesting that hematite is a crystal that is used to help with balancing blood pressure (this information is anecdotal and is not meant to take the place of your trusted health care professionals).
Rainbows as Portals
Rainbows have long been seen as portals—gateways to other worlds and dimensions:
- Other versions of yourself across timelines and dimensions
- Connections with non-human life: trees, animals, sea creatures, even microbes
- Mystical or mythical beings from other realms
- Visitors from other places in our universe
The black rainbow crystals that appeared this week whispered to me that opening portals is a key part of their magic.
Two crystals, in particular, offered me vivid images of what lies beyond their doorways:
🌈 The Witch’s Ally
One showed me Elphaba—the misunderstood witch from Wicked. This crystal is for someone walking the Wiccan path, wrestling with identity and the feeling of being seen as “other.” It’s here to guide and empower them.
🦁 The Shaman’s Companion
The other is a shamanic stone. It revealed a connection to a magical being who teaches the language of wild creatures—especially lions. Once you learn to speak with lions, you gain the ability to communicate with all animals. And through that, something even more powerful: a deeper understanding of yourself.
If you’re facing storms in your life, seek out the rainbow crystals. They can show you how to tap into colour and light. They can bring magic into your life.
