Have you forgotten about this crystal?

At the beginning of 2025, I invited in a crystal to journey with us for 2025 and Emerald answered the call. We are 1/2 way through the year and it’s a beautiful time to connect back in with our year stone and ourselves.

I revisited the messages that emerald whispered to my heart at the start of the year. All of their wisdom resonated with me, especially this one…

An old message is new again

“When we don’t abide by the things we hold sacred, we end up living our lives by the rules of others. Emerald is a stone to free and release the self from the societal constraints that keep us small and in our secrets. They teach us how to show ourselves the same unconditional love that they have shown to us.

It is through this reflection of pure, maternal love, that Emerald leads us into being comfortable in our truth—unafraid and unapologetic about who we are and what we believe to be true about the world. That is what makes it such an ideal stone for leaders.”

That message has been echoing to me from several places in the last couple of weeks. I’ve been hearing over and over how important it is to keep the promises I make to myself. When we don’t honour the sacred agreements we make with ourselves, we lose trust in ourselves and the still, small voice of our soul begins to fade. Without that higher guidance we wander through life without direction and we feel lost.

Life has been busy and other crystals have been singing and I’d forgotten about Emerald’s gifts and magic. But I see that emerald has not forgotten me. This regal stone has been quietly emanating out its frequency of love-opening maternal love. Sometimes it’s in the quiet moments, the times when we’re going through our days, not realizing that there is magic being worked on us, that the most powerful transformations are happening. 

They never stopped sending their love

Looking back at their loving whispers, I realize that I’d been feeling all their wisdom grow in my heart and manifest in my life. I might not have become aware of those shifts had I not stopped for a moment to see how far I’ve come.

And in stopping to reconnect, Emerald has whispered a new message...

There may come a time in your life when you are so aligned with your soul, with the Universe, with the Divine, that nothing can sway you from your purpose. When it is so clear where to step next and next. It’s as if each part of your path becomes lit and shows you the way. At that time, it’s not just that nothing can tempt you away from that path, it’s that there is no temptation.

Until then, you can resist the distractions that pull you from your purpose by strengthening your connection to your heart. Your soul sends you messages through your heart—through your feelings. When you numb yourself to your feelings to avoid the pain of heartbreak, you also cut yourself off from your soul’s guidance.

So you want to strengthen your heart—physically and emotionally—by feeding it with those things that bring it into harmonious rhythm. That means choosing to take in foods and moving the body in ways that make your heart healthy. It means being mindful of what you're allowing into your thoughts, choosing to take in heart warming and uplifting content. It means choosing to be around people who make your heart happy. 

Giving your heart the nourishment that it needs to keep strong will maintain a strong and open connection to the Divine wisdom that flows in from your soul. Then when you encounter moments in your life that are stressful and painful, you will be able to deal with them from a place of power. And instead of being thrown out of alignment with your higher self, you will be more deeply in sync.
