A Crystal's Hidden Light

Crystals share a lot of their magic with us in the very first moments of connection, so we might not think to go deeper with them. But if you stay with them a little longer—a week, a month a year—you’ll get even more of their magic and their gifts.

You may also see more than you did initially, like I did with a certain labradorite crystal. I was able to show you what that was in this video…

It’s not just a visual display that our crystals gift us with. If we get quiet and listen to their soft whispers, we can hear them talking to us. I carried Labradorite around for a time and I co-created a crystal essence with them (a star song) and I listened. Here is their song—their mystical message.

Labradorite’s Song

Perspective is the angle at which we see something.

Perception is how we choose to see that thing.

Depending on where you’re standing and how we are angled, you may see an unobtrusive, ordinary rock or a precious gemstone lit with a whole spectrum of colour.

Notice how you feel about us when we flash coloured light and the feeling you get when you see only our dark part.

Because we can give you the unique flash that only we can show—that is named for us (labradorescence)—you forget about the other side of us.

There is so much to feel in that part.

We hold a structure of a lattice of light and a reflective misty-ness that allows colour to refract. And while you’re distracted by the dance of light and colour, you miss the quiet beauty and powerful strength that allows such a display to be shown.

When you look at yourselves and others, you also look for the flash and magnificent display. You covet that showiness, and that causes you to mourn over the simpleness of your life.

Again you miss the quiet beauty and strength and you even miss the moments of brilliance (that surpasses any surface flash) because you are looking away.

The invitation

The invitation from this flashy stone and from me is to look a little deeper and to look at the less dazzling things in your life and find the gift and light that is waiting to be seen.
