A Crystal Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in Canada and I listened in for any crystals who were singing with the energy of gratitude and appreciation. There are some deeply divided feelings about this holiday but however we feel about it, I’m certain we will all be together in the idea of holding thoughts of thankfulness.

And yes, I know life can be incredibly hard. Many are navigating deep challenges, and in those times, appreciation can feel out of reach. But it’s especially during those moments that calling in even a sliver of light can make all the difference. Because the more we look for the good, the more we seem to find it.

✧ A Whisper of Gratitude ✧

Some call it the Law of Attraction. It’s been a mystical “secret” for thousands of years. But now there is a science-based reason for why and how it works.  It’s related to our brain’s Reticular Activating System which filters out the noise of the world and focuses our attention only on what’s most important and falls within our belief system. So if we focus on what’s wrong in our lives, we’ll see all of it and more. But if we decide to look for what we can be grateful for, we will find many gifts in our life, and more will follow.

Of course it’s not easy to suddenly shift our thoughts to the joy and blessings in our life, especially when, for so long, we have trained our brain to focus on the cold, harsh, cruelty of our world.

That’s where the stone beings can be of help. Making that shift from the dark to the light. We’ve already made the first step by calling them into our lives—because they, themselves are a gift to be appreciated.

The stones that came to our aid are sweet and sparkly.

✧ The Fairy Crystals ✧

These sweet beings are Fairy Quartz—sparkling with tiny, shimmering drusy crystals of amethyst and citrine. As their name suggests, they often attract faery beings—so don’t be surprised if you feel their light and playful presence while working with these stones.

The faeries...

A) Remind us to have fun and to not take ourselves so seriously. Allowing fun and joy into our lives is not a luxury—it’s a necessity; and

B) Help us in navigating through the “ucky emotional trudge” (those are the exact words I was given) of painful relationships in our lives.

But the fairies aren’t the focus today...

✧ The Crystals That Sing ✧

Three very specific Fairy Quartz Crystals are here for us today. I had to sift through the whole lot of these crystals to find these three. What’s special about the them is that they’re singers.

Singing crystals are rare and magical. When gently tapped together, they create a soft, tinkling sound—like the clinking of glasses during a toast, but more musical. They’re not always what you'd expect, either.

It would make sense that the singing crystals would have to be long and tapered (and many are), but I’ve found singers in all shapes and sizes: tabular ones, clusters, even the chubby ones. Their song does not come from their shape. It comes from their essence.

I wasn’t sure why it was specifically singers who stepped forward. Understanding came while I was recording the video (above). I believe that, at least partly, it’s because their sound cuts through the noise—not just audible sound, but the energetic static all around us. Their song invites us to _listen more deeply_—to tune in to what’s subtle, gentle, quiet… and so often overlooked.

We often miss the beautiful parts of our world that are not loud or obvious, like faeries and such. But when we listen—truly listen—we begin to notice the invisible magic that surrounds us.

The singing crystals came out to play today. To whisper their wisdom. To share:

A reminder to deeper listening.
A call to fuller presence
An invitation to honour the magic we so often overlook.

✧ I have an Invitation for you✧

Will you...

Open your eyes. Open your ears. Open your heart.

Look for the sparkle. Listen for the whispers. Feel for the joy.

And those times when you’re drawn into despair and you can’t tune out the noise of a racing mind, call on the crystals to draw your attention back into a space of appreciation, not just on this holiday of thanksgiving, but every day—every moment.

That’s how we will transform ourselves.

It is how we will transform the world.
