Frankincense was calling to me so powerfully. I was drawn to it's beautiful aroma and fascinated by what I discovered when I touched it. I had placed a few drops in water with a large crystal of Himalayan salt, as guided by a very intuitive soul and dear friend. Well at least it was my intention only to use a few drops but quite a bit "accidentally" poured out. I suppose I REALLY NEEDED this oil. I put my finger in the water with the intention of swirling it as was guided and the Frankincense gathered on my finger as if it was magnetically attracted to it. I mean it was STUCK to me. It took a bit of tugging to separate myself from it. WOW ... I was fascinated by this experience and by the message it held. I checked in with my supplier about this and they had not had this experience with this mystical resin. I don't know if it was being in the water or the combination of water and salt but something magical happened with this sacred trine. I encourage you to play with Frankincense - or allow IT to play with you : )
This Frankincense Essential Oil (Boswellia carterii) comes from Somalia and is CO2 extracted from wild harvested resin. Frankincense has been used for over 5,000 years as a medicinal and spiritual oil. It is very tied into the holiday season, used throughout biblical times and for thousands of years previous. It was used in ancient Egypt as one of the key oils for enhancing the ascension process, both for spiritual development and for medicinal purposes. It was considered a ceremonial oil by early Christians, and throughout the middle east and Africa. Its beneficial effects on the human energy field are well known by many cultures. Frankincense is a powerful digestive system tonic. It improves digestion, relieves gas, soothes intestines, and relieves burping. When using frankincense to support healing of brain tumors, it is helpful to inhale from a diffuser at least twice a day, in addition to taking internal herbal support. Remember, healing any form of cancer naturally means using herbs, supplements, dietary changes, lifestyle changes, and addressing the underlying causal factors. It is important to get many forms of support in order to create a healing outcome. In natural perfumery, frankincense is used extensively in sacred perfumes, incense notes, oriental bouquets, amber bases, forest notes, holiday aromatics, and spice accords. Frankincense's soft, sweet, resinous bouquet has a delicate fresh, green, citrus, powdery-floral undertone. The topnote is very soft, but the heart/base note is more complex and tenacious. As the dryout proceeds the true beauty of the co2 extract is revealed.
