I was fascinated by these magical stones when I first discovered them. They are water tumbled stones that were formed by over a century of sculpting run off from iron smelting furnaces. The waste of man transformed by the waters of the earth. I see them as the water version of zincite. These stones can offer much wisdom about our environment through their very creation. The earth took a toxic waste and created a "pearl" out of it so to speak. She transformed detrimental litter into a beautiful benign creation.
Beach stones are abundant and easily accessible and so are often taken for granted and undervalued. However, they are just as magical and powerful as the rarer, more highly coveted crystals and gems that are assigned metaphysical properties.
