Calcite Crystals have been an interesting topic here. A recent study shows that, "Calcite microcrystals have been positively identified, in substantial quantities, in every one of 20 human pineal glands studied ... These crystals bear a striking resemblance to those found in the human inner ear, which have been shown to exhibit piezoelectric qualities." I couldn't find the actual scientific paper, but I did find a reference here. Also, in case you are not familiar with the term, piezoelectricity, it is the ability to generate an electric field (electric potential) in response to pressure or heat. I'll leave it to you to explore the meaning of this for you ... to me it feels much deeper and more connected than all of the scientific information and metaphysical conjecture combined. Perhaps the Calcite Crystals will whisper a clue in their song.
Calcite vibrates to the number 8 and is the astrological sign of Cancer. Calcite is a stone of Water. It is formed in water and is water soluble. It is said to help the mind and body to remember: The, mind to remember information brought to bear during astral travel and channeling experiences; the body, to remember the state of perfection during dis-ease in order to return to the natural state of flawlessness. Calcite is a world teacher for all of humanity. It is an excellent stone when studying the arts and sciences. Calcite's most important lesson is the "art of being". Its true significance cannot be grasped by the mind. It extends beyond linear mental association and into the realm of true knowing. Rhomboid Calcite displays six parallel planes, all connected by one another. Each of the four, six sided parallelograms exist in their own unique plane of reality, yet each is intricately attached to the other parallel sides. If a Rhomboid shaped piece of Calcite is broken, all of the fragmented pieces would be rhomboid forms (flat parallel sided faces). If one of the broken pieces were further broken, the new pieces would also represent the original rhomboid form. On an atomical level, the atoms are forming together in microscopic rhomboid shapes.
